I’ve always loved children. I have 6 of my own, and I owned danced studios for 30 years teaching dance. My last studio here in Florida was called Tutu Cute Dance. I loved owning dance studios and being an entrepreneur.
Our first dog here in Florida came about when my 19-year-old daughter asked for a dog. Knowing that I have allergies, she convinced me that a poodle was a perfect fit as it would be hypo-allergenic. That’s how our gorgeous Poppy came into our lives.
She’s a standard phantom Parti poodle. She was bought as an emotional support animal for my daughter. Poppy has brought so much joy into our lives. She has the best temperament and is the perfect dog for my daughter.
Animals have so much healing potential. Without even being trained, they naturally help those with anxiety and depression. They force their humans to get out of bed and care for them. Dogs do so much good in the world
I started off my career teaching dance to orphans in the townships of Cape Town, South Africa. I now have a focus on helping kids that need service dogs to acquire one. I feel like that is my calling.
I take a completely holistic approach to my program. None of my dogs will ever be kept in kennels. They are beloved pets and have forever homes. We take our dogs everywhere, and they are a huge part of the family.
I have spent a huge amount of resources rescuing dogs that were doomed to be bred in kennels in conditions that no dog deserves. There is a place for reputable breeders, and we have a responsibility to educate our community on the value of what we do.
I endeavor daily to stay true to the reason I raise doodles. Dogs can make a difference, they heal hearts and save lives through the power of a dog’s love and faithfulness. You are never lonely if you have a dog as your companion.
